Kat Watson Hair Artist
What beauty inspirations have you found the most influential?
The most influential time for me in my hair career was when I lived in London, England and I worked at a salon in Soho. My boss was so inspirational and taught me the real Toni and Guy techniques! Just existing in such a fashion forward and leading city changed the way I look at hair and beauty forever.
Tell us about your beauty education and how it made you so fabulous.
Starting at the age of 19 I moved to Victoria to attend hair school. So happy I did my initial education there because it is such a unique and vibrant city! After I finished school I hopped on a plane and began my apprenticeship in London for a year which is what really shaped me as a hairdresser. Seeing trends and fashions as they are first taking off and learning the deep rooted traditional skills at the same time gave me the foundation I stand on today. It allows me to get get creative while always relying on my master skills.
