What beauty inspirations have you found the most influential?

 

I’ve been inspired by all the hardworking women I grew up with. Getting any beauty treatment was such a luxury that made their day, so I wanted to be able to provide that for others as an esthetician. 

 

Tell us about your beauty education and how it made you so fabulous.

 

I took an esthetician course in India in 1992 and started doing threading and waxing in the Okanagan the following year. In 2012, I did another esthetician course at Okanagan Cosmetology Institute and have added tinting, facials, pedicures, and manicures to my list of services.

 

What’s your specialty?

 

Threading and waxing are definitely my specialties as I’ve been doing them since 1993.

 

Who is your hero & why?

 

My mom. She has taught me everything I know about working hard and resilience, and I am so grateful for her.

 

Other than beautifying, what are your passions in life?

 

I enjoy spending time with my family, my dog (Zion), and my friends. I also like to cook and do yoga.

 

What is your favorite beauty product and why?

 

My favorite beauty product would have to be my thread. It is 100% organic cotton and doesn’t break easily.

 

You are stranded on an island, what are three things you cannot live without?

 

My kids, my husband, and my dog.

 

Would you rather ride a unicorn or swim like a mermaid?

 

I’m scared of the water, so unicorn.
